The continued generosity of donors is paramount to the mission
and goals of Chemistry at Rice.
A current need is to upgrade the department's undergraduate teaching instrumentation. Whether the instrumentation is traditional in nature such as atomic absorption or as mainstream as automated sampler systems, we strive to provide our students with state-of-the art teaching facilities.
Another project is to update the Dell Butcher Hall classroom with the latest technology available in order to provide an excellent interactive teaching environment, as well as a dynamic facility to host our special lecture series. We are continually upgrading our computer and projection systems to enable us to incorporate the latest tools for teaching such as camera projectors and tablet notebook computers.
