Fall 2008 Wildflower planting
Student, staff and faculty volunteers helped reseed the detention area just south of Wiess College and the new South Plant this fall on November 12th. The Lynn R. Lowrey Arboretum Committee along with the South Plant project purchased the seeds in an effort to restore the area as construction is wrapping up. The Lowery Arboretum committee members helped organize the event and guided volunteers on where to plant specific seeds. The grasses and flowers planted last week will make their debut in March. Refreshments from juice to watermelon were given along with take-home seed mixes. There was even music! Thanks to all those who helped with this effort.
