Medical Humanities- Medical Humanities is a collaboration between Rice's School of Humanities and Baylor's Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy. Interdisciplinary undergraduate courses will be offered which relate to medical education and practice.
Poverty, Social Justice and Human Capabilities- The Poverty, Social Justice and Human Capabilities Program aims to give students a rigorous understanding of human well-being, both in the US and internationally.
Americas Colloquium- This colloquium brings together Humanities faculty and graduate students to consider what a broadly hemispheric, graduate focused Americas program would look like and how it would contribute to the education of the next generation of Americanist scholars.
Classical Legacy Program- Basic courses on the literature, art, thought, and history of ancient Greece and Rome and what the legacy of Greece and Rome has meant to succeeding ages.
FOCUS EUROPE is a new interdisciplinary program in the School of Humanities, which links the study of the humanities and human sciences to contemporary debates in public policy.
