Where to Recycle

On-Campus | Off-Campus

Rice's recycling program is not designed to handle material generated by members of the Rice community who live off-campus.  There are four recycling facilities identified below that are near Rice that can meet many of your off-campus recycling needs.  The Houston Chronicle also maintains an online recycling guide to aid in your recycling.

West University Recycling Center -- 5004 Dincans St
Hours: Self Service drop-off, 24/7
This recycling center accepts aluminum, steel/"tin" cans, empty aerosol cans, plastic (#1 and #2), glass, paper, telephone books, newspaper, magazines, and cardboard. It is a drive-up facility that allows you to easily pull your car up and drop off your recyclables. The center is located behind Goode Company Seafood near Kirby and US-59.
