Daily Schedule
- Start of workshop day: 8:30 AM in Symonds I Lab
- Morning break: 10:00-10:20 AM in the Art Gallery foyer of Sewall Hall
- Lunch: 12:00-1:00 PM in Duncan Hall
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday in DH 3076
- Thursday in DH 1049
- Afternoon break: 3:00 - 3:20 PM in the Art Gallery foyer of Sewall Hall
- End of the workshop day: 5:00 PM
Location
TeachJava 2004 will be held in the Symonds I Teaching Lab in Sewall Hall. For building details, please see map.

For parking, enter through Entrance 1 or 2 and park in the Lovett Visitors lot (see campus map). You will need a credit card to enter this lot. We will validate your parking by issuing tickets to use to exit the lot each day. This lot is conveniently located across the street from Sewall Hall.

Public Transportation
Information about the light rail can be found here: MetroRail. One of the stops, the Dryden/TMC rail station, is just across the street from the hotel. The rate is $1 each way. The rail runs from the Astrodome area to downtown.
There is also Metro bus service along Main Street (Route 8).
Food
Best Western will provide you a continental breakfast in the lobby area and we'll provide you with lunch and morning and afternoon snacks. For your evening meals, and in case you don't have a car, you have several options.
Fast-food restaurants within walking distance from hotel:
- Pizza Hut and Burger King are at the corner of Holcombe and Main.
- Popeye's, Papa John's, and Azumi (sushi) are at the corner of Dryden and Main.
