Education
Ph.D. (2007) Vanderbilt University
Elizabeth Festa has taught courses in composition, prose fiction, and drama, as well as surveys in American literature. She taught at Vanderbilt University and the University of Georgia before coming to Rice. Before attending graduate school, she served as an officer in the 101st Corps Support Group, Fort Campbell, KY.
Her current book project examines the intersections between the experimental themes and forms of modernist literature and America's budding museum culture, exploring how literary and archival venues became spaces for negotiating an emerging modernity.
