Congratulations to the Professional Development Workshop Participants! This summer, BTB held its 4th annual Professional Development Workshop - a 4 week training program on the essentials necessary to teach Bioengineering and World Health - adding 7 Houston-area teachers to the network of educators preparing high school students to make a positive impact on global health through bioengineering.

Science, Math, & Technology Camp for Girls a Success in Malawi In an inaugural teaching partnership between the University of Malawi and BTB, a 2 week SMT camp was held in July at Bunda College outside Lilongwe in an effort to increase the number of women studying the sciences at the university level.
Hailing from across Malawi, 18 teachers were trained in Bioengineering and World Health topics by BTB staff and interns, while 36 female high school students attended sessions in higher level math, science, and bioengineering. |
