Women's Africanist Archaeology Network (WAAN)
The Women's Africanist Archaeology Network (WAAN) comprises members interested in issues relating to the enhancement of women's participation and integration in the discipline and gender studies in Africanist archaeology. Interested women discussed the formation of the network at the SAfA meetings in Calgary, at a meeting facilitated by Alinah Segobye. At the meeting, after introductions and expressions of individual interests, it was decided to establish a listserve for the network, to which any interested list member may post communications. Any SAfA member interested in women's and gender issues within the discipline is invited to join the listserve and participate in the conversation. To join the list, see the list subscription page at: https://mailman.rice.edu/mailman/listinfo/waan-l
