Edgar O'Rear Travel Grants

We are currently seeking nominations for outstanding graduate students for Edgar O'Rear Travel Grants. Selected recipients can receive up to $750 for costs associated with attending a scientific conference. Students should be nominated by their advisor. The nomination must include the student's curriculum vitae, the name and description of the conference that the student would attend, a brief statement from the advisor regarding the benefits of this meeting for the student, and a budget of anticipated costs for attending the conference. If the student has already submitted an abstract for the meeting, this can be included as well. Nominations should be submitted to kimberly@rice.edu by October 10, 2008.
