The inaugural Summer Symposium for faculty and trainees of the Nanobiology Training Program took place on July 20, 2007. Almost 50 faculty and trainees heard 6 talks, networked, and viewed posters by the trainees. The speakers (in alphabetical order) were:

Michael Diehl, Rice University;
Lavanya Rajagopalan, postdoctoral fellow, Baylor College of Medicine;
Hugo Sanabria, postdoctoral fellow, UTHSC-H; and
Amarda Shehu, predoctoral fellow, Rice University.
