Nanobiology Training Program graduate fellow Nolan Harris has been conducting experiments with his mentor, Rice University Assistant Professor of Physics, Ching-Hwa Kiang, to ascertain how mauch free energy it takes for a protein to fold into its final shape. They hope to learn more about how amino acid sequences affect protein function and how folding goes awry in some diseases.
