The UNICEF statistical databases represent the most inclusive collections of such information. The country-specific data relate to Child Survival and Health, Child Nutrition, Maternal Health, Water and Sanitation, and Education and include incidence of several childhood diseases. In addition UNICEF at this site makes available a set of tools for conducting Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys.
WHO Statistical Information is the most comprehensive collection of international health-related statistics. This site is keyword searchable and contains much child-related information.
A WHO Task Force for Children's Environmental Health maintains the Gateway to Children's Environmental Health. This task force is of relatively recent origin and the collection of pertinent statistics, though planned, has not yet begun. However, this site and WHO's International Programme on Chemical Safety will be the source of much data on environmental hazards for children in various parts of the world.
HPNStats the acronym for Health, Nutrition, and Population Statistics, is a component of the Knowledge Management System of the World Bank's Human Development Network. HNPStats offers country data sheets showing summary indicators for health status, health determinants, and health finance.
The MEDILINKS mission is to help strengthen and improve the delivery of health care in Africa. It does so by making medical and health-related information about Africa available to the world, as well as by publishing original, important, well-documented, peer-reviewed articles on a diverse range of health and medical topics.
